Taste Bud Tickling Plant-Based Smoky Black Beans
- 400g/14oz cans chopped tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
- 4 spring onions/scallions (finely chopped)
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 2 teaspoons mild chili powder
- Half teaspoon smokey paprika
- 400g/14oz tins black beans in water, drained, or your own dried beans cooked as per the packed instructions
- Add the tomatoes, spring onions/scallions, spices and BBQ sauce to a pot and cook over a medium heat for about 10 minutes, making sure they don't catch on.
- Add the drained, rinsed black beans and cook for a further five minutes.
- Serve with whatever you fancy, or have them on their own.
